A YEAR IN REVIEW
by Joann
(Spring, Texas)
I host 12-16 people each New Years Eve and we play games throughout the evening. In order to get the "newbies" involved early on we play "A year in review."
To set up the game, I browse through the year-end People magazine that recaps the entire year. Then I make up questions and assign point values to each question. We start at the head of the table and each guest draws a question out of the box. An example for this year is "Jason chose Melissa then dumped Melissa and chose Molly. Jason and Molly are now engaged. Name the show (50pts.)
Another example: The king of pop left behind 3 children, 2 boys and a girl. What are their names? (50pts each right name).
What gets interesting is that if the guest does not get it right the points double and go to the next guest on their right. We continue to play other games throughout the night and at the end of the party the couples may combine their points and we have a live auction for prizes!
Everyone goes home a winner!
