Hi, How do you keep pasta pipping hot when serving nine people. Mine is usually warm when everyone starts to eat. Help please. Mary.

Don't rinse the pasta after cooking, toss it with the sauce in the hot pan the pasta was cooked in (don't use a bowl, as that'll cool the pasta down more), and don't let it sit. Toss and serve immediately! That combined withhot plates will keep your pasta nice and warm.

Keeping Pasta Warm
by: Karen (DDP Editor)

The most important thing you can do to keep pasta for large group warm is to have HOT plates. When the plates are cool, they cool down the pasta really really quickly. Hot plates will help keep the temperature. Stick them in a warm oven for a few minutes or even put them through a hot wash in the dishwasher.

Also, it's best to mix your sauce --make sure it's piping hot-- with your pasta to help it keep warm. Don't rinse the pasta after cooking, toss it with the sauce in the hot pan the pasta was cooked in (don't use a bowl, as that'll cool the pasta down more), and don't let it sit. Toss and serve immediately! That combined with hot plates will keep your pasta nice and warm.

Hope this helps!
