Tasty Homemade Barbeque Sauce Recipes for Chicken
(Not looking for a bbq sauce for chicken? Check out our BBQ Headquarters for more great homemade barbeque sauce recipes-- for beef ribs, pork ribs, pulled pork... you name it.) ![]() Spicy Peach Chicken Barbecue Sauce RecipeThis recipe combines sweet fresh peaches, mellow but flavorful shallots, and a bit of spice for a drool-worthy homemade barbeque sauce for chicken or other poultry. The flavor of the fruit is the perfect accompaniment to the mild, tender meat. This bbq sauce also helps white meat to taste moist and full of flavor!
Ingredients: Instructions: Peel peaches and remove pits. Finely chop peaches. Combine peaches in a heavy-bottomed saucepan on medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until slightly thickened. Stir frequently. When sauce has thickened slightly, process in a food processor or blender until smooth.
Kansas City Chicken Barbecue Sauce RecipeThis homemade barbeque sauce is the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. The cinnamon, allspice, and mace give it a deep and complex flavor that is wonderful with chicken. But it's truly to die for on barbequed turkey legs.
Ingredients: Instructions: Sift together all dry ingredients. Combine hot sauce, vinegar, molasses and ketchup in a large saucepan. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Bring to a boil on top of stove. Serve with chicken. Store up to 3 weeks in refrigerator.
Honey Barbecue Sauce Recipe for ChickenThis is almost like a honey mustard bbq sauce. The garlic and onion give it a rich flavor, and the brown sugar and honey combine with a bit of spice for a perfectly sweet-and-spicy homemade barbeque sauce. I always suggest an extra pinch or two of chili powder, but you should just add it to taste.
Ingredients: Instructions: Saute onion and garlic over medium low heat for about 2 minutes, til slightly translucent. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer, and simmer 5-10 minutes, til hot and slightly thickened. Serve. Leftover sauce will keep in the fridge for several weeks.
Spicy Maple Chicken Barbecue Sauce RecipeWhat goes together better than the flavors of apple cider and maple? With apple cider vinegar and a healthy dose of real maple syrup, you may not want to add this bbq sauce to your chicken. You may just want to eat it with a spoon. Seriously.
Ingredients: Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a medium, non-reactive saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer about 50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and reduced.
