All-Aboard Carolina Vinegar Barbeque Sauce

I call this "all aboard" because it seems like all of the vinegar barbeque sauce recipes ever thought up can be found here. This is both vinegar-based, tomato-based, and mustard-based. Plus, the splash of white wine gives it a flavor that you don't find in other vinegar barbeque sauce recipes. If you can find it, add the liquid smoke. It gives this recipe a whole different dimension.

Ingredients:
1/4 C. brown sugar, packed
1/4 C. Worcestershire sauce
1/4 C. yellow mustard
2/3 C. ketchup
1 tbsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. red pepper flakes
1-2 tbsp. salt, to taste
2 C. apple cider vinegar
1 1/3 C. filtered water
2/3 C. white wine
1/2. tsp. liquid smoke

Instructions: In a medium sized saucepan, combine all ingrediente. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and cover. Simmer, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes.
