Crab Cups Party Appetizer Recipe

Crab meat has been consumed since prehistoric times! Today, crab legs are a popular item for buffet inclusion because they're easy to pick up (however, they're messy to open).

To avoid the mess of ripping into whole crab legs, this buffet dish recipe uses prepared crab meat instead.

Ingredients:
1/2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 green onions
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/3 C. salad dressing or mayonnaise
1/2 c. fresh grated Parmesan
2 tsp. Old Bay
1 tsp. fresh squeezed lemon juice
1/2 tsp. chipotle (optional)
1 C. crab meat flaked
1 dozen wonton wrappers
1/2 tbsp. butter melted

Instructions: 1. Dice up the green onions then sauté them in butter until soft. Add all your remaining ingredients to the onions and stir slowly so that the cheese melts and mingles.

2. Add the crab meat, cooking for two minutes longer. Set aside.

3. Next you make your "cups" using the wonton wraps. Put these into a mini muffin tin (one each) and brush them with a little butter.

4. Cook in a preheated 350 degree oven till they get golden brown. Fill with the crab mixture. May be served hot or cold.
