Peanut Butter Halloween Pumpkins Recipe
These cute little peanut butter pumpkins make great Halloween party snacks! Or, even better, use them to decorate any of these Halloween cake recipes.
They're a lot tastier than the candy pumpkins you can buy at the store, and are surprisingly easy. These are no-bake, so this is a fun Halloween recipe to let the
kids help with. Makes 15 pumpkins.
Ingredients:
1/2 C. butter, melted
1 1/2 C. peanut butter
1 (1 lb.) package powdered sugar, sifted
red and yellow food coloring (or orange)
1 small tube green decorator's icing
Ingredients: 1. Add red and yellow (or orange) food coloring to butter until it is a bright orange. Pour into a medium mixing bowl.
2. Add peanut butter and powdered sugar and stir well until combined. Should be the consistency of stiff dough.
3. Shape dough into about 15 small pumpkin-like balls. Using a toothpick, create ridges down each pumpkin.
4. Place pumpkins on waxed paper.
5. Using a tiny amount of green decorator's frosting (or make your own), add a little green stem to each pumpkin.
6. Refrigerate until firm, at least 1-2 hours.
7. Serve on their own, or use to decorate cakes and cupcakes-- cute and delicious!
