Jack Daniel's Barbecue Sauce Recipe

This amazing barbeque sauce recipe is actually more of a Jack Daniel's glaze. And while it's wonderful on everything (I love it on chicken) it really shines on ribs. If you love Jack Daniel's BBQ Sauce or those Jack Daniel's Glazed Rib thingies at chain restaurants (you know, the onese that come in a paper-lined basket), you'll love the flavor of this-- it's easy, but far tastier than what you'll get from a chain restaurant.

Ingredients:
1/4 C. butter
1/4 C. oil
3/4 C. finely minced white onion
1-2 jalepeños, chopped (to taste)
1 C. Jack Daniels whiskey
1/3 C. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 C. ketchup
1/2 C. apple cider vinegar
1/2 C. freshly squeezed lemon juice
1/3 C. molasses
1/4 C. brown sugar
pinch salt, if needed

Instructions: In a medium saucepan, cook jalepeños and onion in oil just til tender. Do not let brown.

Remove the pan from the heat, then add the Jack Daniels. Boil whiskey and onion over medium high heat til partly reduced, about 5 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer 25-30 minutes, until thickened.
