Spicy Maple Chicken Barbecue Sauce Recipe

What goes together better than the flavors of apple cider and maple? With apple cider vingear and a healthy dose of real maple syrup, you may not want to add this bbq sauce to your chicken. You may just want to eat it with a spoon. Seriously.

Ingredients:
1 1/4 C. ketchup
3/4 C. apple cider vinegar
2 white onions, minced
2 1/2 C. chicken broth
1/2 C. real maple syrup
2 tbsp. margarine
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1 tsp. red pepper flakes (or to taste)

Instructions: Combine all ingredients in a medium, non-reactive saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat. Simmer about 50 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened and reduced.
